Idaho Power employees and members of its public advisory council will meet Thursday, April 17, to discuss key elements that will drive the utility’s 20-year energy plan. It will be the seventh monthly meeting of the company’s Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council (IRPAC). The company produces an Integrated Resource Plan every two years and plans to submit its 2025 plan to regulators in June.

IRPAC meetings are open to the public. Thursday’s meeting will provide an update of the company’s modeling of its energy system as well as preliminary results of the analysis that will guide future resources. The IRPAC is a volunteer panel that meets with Idaho Power staff several times over a period of months to discuss the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan, which will lay out the company’s preferred portfolio of energy resources to serve customers over the next 20 years. The company enlists the help of its customers to create the IRP through the IRPAC, which includes representatives from public-interest groups, industry, and agriculture, as well as state and local lawmakers, public utility commission staff, and other interested parties.
